Day Four: Picking more paint

We woke up bright and early, tougher to sleep last night for me but Maxx slept like a South African Champ!  More painting, painters and kids to wrangle before another big day in the back of the Bucky.

Cold and hoping for more sunshine tomorrow.

Days seem to go by so fast and we are learning as we go!  We have almost completed new color for 3 classrooms and still have 13 more to do.  Yikes, not to mention murals, doors and windows!  The weekend coming up should yield some good results as we are pressed for time with the kids in school while we work during the week.  All hands on deck.

Things we learned today:

Chalkboard paint is referred to as School GreenBoard paint and hard to get.  Avocado’s grow everywhere and you can get about 20 for $3 US.  Can you say Holy Guacamole!  Peanut soup is a delicacy as they are the freshest & sweetest on earth.  Oulga (4 year old grandaughter) LOVES Maxx and his pink, pencil case filled with pencil crayons which often disappears if not on lockdown.  Nelson Davhula taught SA sign language at a special needs school and would probably love meeting Peggy (next time Peggy!).   Lollipop (20 year old son) is a good rap artist and Maxx may have found another calling.  We love Tshakhuma!
