Day Three: Project Paint

Slept 12 hours,  had to force ourselves to wake up and start the day.  After some homesickness a nice warm bath was drawn for Maxx and I by the wonderful Josephine.

Josephine and Gloria are two local women that come to help when sister Dr. Andrea Emberly is in town.

Maxx and I rode in the back of the pickup (aka: bucky).  Life doesn't get any better than this for Maxx!

After hours of finding paint and supplies, we headed to the Matavha Primary School to meet, greet and PAINT!!

Dr. Andrea Emberly (aka: Auntie 'A') shows us the school

I would upload video but it takes up too much bandwidth (will upload videos when back). The kids thought Maxx was beautiful and kept touching his hair and shaking his hand.  Tons to do, loads of painting, cleaning, spackling, playing with kids.  Maxx is such a great boy,  I’m so impressed and proud of what he is doing to help out, be in such a new and often initimidating environment and roll with it all.  He’s always the director and foreman and I’m sure by the end of the week will have everyone on task.

More tomorrow, dinner is ready.
